A practical workshop focusing on what helps and hinders us in sharing our faith, having more open and honest conversations about our faith, and looking at how the Fruit of God’s Spirit in our lives impacts on relationships with friends, family, neighbours and colleagues.
Today, drinking in cafes and coffee houses is highly fashionable and increasingly, churches are joining this trend, thus helping them better connect with their communities. From a commercial high street café to a Sunday morning café service, we examine different models, as well as exploring the opportunities these developments help provide.
Working with the elderly/those with Dementia
This workshop focuses on practical ways in which we, as a church, can connect with those in the community who suffer from Dementia, or find it hard to make their way to church. It is important for every church to be thinking about how they can effectively help and serve the elderly in their parish. Hear examples from around the country of what churches are doing to engage with the older generation and those with Dementia, be inspired to try something out in your own church context.
The Challenges and Opportunities for the rural church
There are a number of challenges which face the rural church today, but with these challenges can come opportunities to thrive. This workshop looks at the opportunities rural churches have in reaching out to their communities, as well as taking a look at what other churches around the county are doing to engage with those around them. Be encouraged, inspired and equipped to see transformation within your local church setting.
Although this is a FREE event - lunch and refreshments are provided - a £10 charge will be levied for any cancellations received after the booking deadline, or for no-shows on the day, to cover the cost of the unused catering.
