And you want to find out more about fresh expressions of church and other mission initiatives please come along to one of our going for growth events Going for growth is a series of regional events run by the ministries council and the mission and discipleship council to encourage congregations and presbyteries to explore recent developments, resources and initiatives in this area mission.
The events are suitable both for those who are familiar with this area of mission these developments, and for those who are taking their first steps. There is a particular focus on how fresh expressions and new congregation’s church communities can be formed and fit within the Church of Scotland. The day events are in two parts: • The afternoon is for those who carry a presbytery-wide responsibility for presbytery planning, mission, training or education, and presbyteries will receive an invitation to send delegates to their local events. • The evening session is open to anyone who wants to know more about what is happening, what support and resources are available, or what the future possibilities might be in this area of work.
