Mission and Older People

Mission and Older People is a key topic for an ageing Church and society. How are we to enable mission with older people, for older people and to older people? The Mission Forum has created a resource to enable Church of Scotland members, kirk sessions and presbyteries running awareness raising evenings and help local pastoral groups, Guilds or those working with CrossReach explore the topic.

Pray it Forward

Pray it Forward is a simple, yet remarkably versatile resource which has been widely used across the globe.  It consists of eight different credit card sized cards, each with a blessing inspired by words from the Bible, and an invitation to pray for someone else and pass the blessing on. Pray it Forward cards are available from the Resourcing Mission shop.

Church and Cafe

Today, many churches throughout Scotland are using, or are at least considering the use of, cafes to further their ministry.  In this guide, we will highlight a modern trend in social networking, physically not electronically, and report on some successful and varied models of churches that are running church cafes.

There is also a Church and Cafe: Frequently Asked Questions Quick Guide which provides some helpful guidelines, together with information on resources and websites.
